A tie can only cause pieces to be captured if all the pieces in the area are on the same color territory.

Tie on Home Territory

Red and Green tie with two pieces on green territory, so green captures the red pieces.


Tie on Home Territory

Yellow and Blue tie with two pieces, and all the pieces in the area are on yellow territory, so yellow captures the red and blue pieces.


Tie on Neutral Territory

Red and Green tie, and since all the pieces are on a color not involved in the tie (blue), the moving player (red) captures the green pieces.

Red and Blue tie with two pieces, and all the pieces in the area are on blue territory, so blue captures the red and green pieces.
