Disc One Public Beta is Open
Disc One — a CD player for Apple Music — is now open for public TestFlight on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro.
Streaming made music infinite, and somewhere in there, the album got lost. Disc One brings back the ritual: a rack of CDs on one side, a boombox on the other, and the small ceremony in between.
How it works:
- Drag a disc off the rack and drop it in the player
- Hear the whir, then the album starts where the artist intended
- Flip any CD between spine and face; tap the spine on top of the player for liner notes
- Burn a mix from your library — Disc One writes a real Apple Music playlist and hands you a share link
First-class VoiceOver labels, rotor actions on every CD, and a Reduce Motion alternative for every gesture. No analytics. No tracking. Requires an Apple Music subscription.
Put on a whole record, sit with it, and tell us how it sounds.
