What is Backdrop?
Backdrop is a simple utility to fill your screen with a white window. This is useful for taking screenshots without having to clean up your desktop.
Requirements

minimal hard drive space

Backdrop - the program itself
ReadMe - this document
Installation
Copy Backdrop to a desired location on your hard drive (may I suggest the Applications folder). Open Backdrop from your hard drive.
Note: Not copying to your hard drive and running from a disk image may cause Backdrop to crash.
Freeware
Backdrop is Freeware. You may freely use and distribute Backdrop according to the conditions below.
This program may be distributed provided the distribution is a package which includes both the Backdrop application and this original READ ME document. The distributor must not charge any fees for distribution of this software without express written consent.
What's New?
Backdrop 1.5 features the following improvements:
- Added a real full-screen pixel test mode (white, red, green, blue, black)
- Fixed the "image stretch" mode
- Improved the auto-update check behavior to avoid an endless loop
